Red deer, Otters, Water Voles, Reptiles, Bats, Wainscot Moths and other Key Invertebrates, Woodlarks and Dartford Warblers will be displaced during and after construction from the landfall locations, cable corridors, substations and converter stations sites.

MATURE TREES MAY BE FELLED TO MAKE WAY FOR ENORMOUS CONCRETE BRIDGE & ACCESS ROAD

A 200 plus year old horse chestnut tree described by the East Suffolk Council’s Principle Landscape & Aboricultural Officer as having “exceptional qualities” is at threat to be felled to make way for an enormous concrete bridge to cross the River Fromus.

Offshore Grid is BEST!

A better solution involving an Offshore Grid using the North Sea Corridor to transport power closer to demand is a realistic and viable option. Other European countries like Belgium, Holland, Germany and Denmark have chosen modular offshore grids (MOGs) for their offshore spatial design strategies.
